Hi! I’m your Policy VP of Varsity!
I love Leland Speech & Debate because of the invaluable life-long skills you develop along the way, from excellent public speaking, to enhanced research and quick critical thinking abilities. The diversity in events available to try out and see which ones best fit your personality, makes it special. But the main reason why I love Speech & Debate and will stick with it throughout high school, is the close, tightly knit, and loving community fostered in this activity that goes beyond attending tournaments and winning or losing rounds, and truly makes everyone feel like they belong! Outside of LSD, I enjoy reading, exercising, listening to music, hanging out with friends, playing the piano, and staying informed on current events!
